A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Revolution Beauty with their next collaboration set to be available very soon. Now the last big collaboration they did that really got my attention was The Nightmare before Christmas range last year and I was so late to the party that I ended up getting the products much later on due to stock literally flying out. Every time I got an email for stock notification it was already gone by the time I got online. Now I could quite literally leave the Bratz, Friends and Pebbles Collaborations where they were without skipping a beat but a DC collection with the likes of Batman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Joker products…. Just take my money please.
The above photos show you the items I got in my ummm “small” parcel, I decided against getting any of the lipglosses as I don’t like sticky lipgloss, I much prefer matte products so I got the “Matte Bomb” liquid liptsick in a neutral and dark. There is also a bigger Batman palette, highlighters and may other items. It is certainly worth a look.
The first palette I used was the small “I am the Batman” Batman palette ” to create a autumn, dark everyday look. The coverage was good with very little product been used to get the colour to show. To be honest that is what I have come to expect with revolution palettes they have quickly become one of my favourites.
Here is what I used in this look (excuse the funny faces, its been a while since Ive done this lol).
Too Faced – Hangover Good To Go moisturizer – works great as a primer
Make up Conceal and Define Powder Foundation
I am the Batman Palettes – Gotham, Dark and Vengance
Nightmare Before Christmas Eyeshadow Palette Sally – Moonlight (Highlighter)
Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil eyeliner – Jet Black
Makeup Revolution 5d Lash Mascara
Matte Bomb Liquid Lipstick – Delicate Brown
The colours in this palette are some of my favourite, golds, oranges, browns are perfect for autumn and in all honesty for myself all around the year. I may even find a chance to use the yellow, you never know. The question is what palette shall we use next?
There are many different eyeshadow palettes out these days, you can buy a huge palette with 100s of colours or build your own palette buying single colours. I like creating my own palettes but you can’t go far wrong with Sleek Makeup palettes. Each uniquely different, perfectly named and highly pigmented.
Available in Superdrug, Boots aswell as other retailers. I have a number of these palettes and thought I would show you a daytime look using the Vintage Romance Palette.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
No7 Brilliantly Bare
Rimmed Match Perfection – Ivory
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
MAC Eyeshadow – Vanilla & Soba
Sleek Makeup : Vintage Romance Palette – A Vow in Venice & Love in London
L’Oréal Super Liner – Black Lacquer
Benefit Kohl Pencil – Onyx
L’Oréal Mega Volume Mascara : Miss Magna – Black

No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick – Brick Red
If red lipstick is too much for your daily look swap it out for something more subtle or a nude lipstick. To tone down the eyes skip the winged eyeliner and just use mascara.
Dusky Pink is the colour to have this autumn, its on the catwalks in all forms but most importantly its inspiring beauty looks and nail varnish trends. As the lips go bolder is shades of berry eyes go softer is pink hues. I created this look with neutral lips and slightly smokey eyes instead of my usual black eyeliner.

A Sunday night with no kids and hoping to go out somewhere nice with the other half. I’m hoping a romantic meal but either way I have plenty of time to get ready as the other half is still stuck in work. What better way to relax and get in the mood for a great evening than doing my favourite pin up girl look. Nude eye shadow, black eyeliner with a flick and red lips. This time I went for a Dita Von Teese inspired look with minimum products but maximum results. Here is what I used:
As a tribute to my gorgeous 5 year old girl I have a pink look today, the old age saying Pink makes the Boys wink always makes her laugh. This was a really easy look which is bright enough for day look and would be perfect smoked out for a night time look. This Vivo palette has so many beautiful colours.A perfect look for a bride too.
It’s time for school to start back, the summer holidays are coming to an end but that doesn’t been you have to look dull. Here is a natural back to school or back to work look that is simple and quick so you can have an extra 5 minutes in bed. The best thing about this look is you only need three shades of eye shadow, you could even get away with using just two.
Mua Dusk Til Dawn Palette has become a favourite of mine since I can create so many different looks from it for day or night. I created this look as I’d had a few too many looks that were neutal lately and wanted something a bit more fun and funky.
This looks follows on from my Snow White inspired look so I guess you’d say this is the evil queen, here is what I used:
